About Me
I am a public school parent, community leader, and advocate committed to strengthening our schools so they work for every child.
My professional background is rooted in adolescent development and family systems. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Adolescent Development and a Master’s degree in Youth and Family Recreation. Throughout my career, I have focused on inclusive education, disability advocacy, and meaningful family engagement — working to ensure that policies translate into real support for students and families.
As a mother navigating special education services, I have seen firsthand how complex systems can either empower families or leave them struggling for answers. That experience deepened my commitment to improving transparency, accountability, and collaboration within our schools.
I believe strong public schools are the foundation of a strong community. I support inclusive classrooms, evidence-based decision-making, smart investment in teacher training, and clear oversight to ensure students receive the services and opportunities they are promised.
I currently lead the Sugar Hill Inclusion Taskforce and serve on the board of the Brightside Forever Foundation, where I work alongside families, educators, and community leaders to strengthen inclusion and opportunity across our community.
I am running to help build schools that are designed for all children — not just some — and to strengthen the partnership between families, educators, and our community.
